    Katarina Su and Bridget Harding Garner UAA Weekly Honors Emory University Women’s Tennis players senior Katarina Su and junior Bridget Harding were named the University Athletic Association Co-Athletes of the Week on Monday afternoon for their performances at the 2016 ITA Oracle Cup in Surprise, Arizona this past weekend. This marks the third time Harding has been named an Athlete of the Week during the fall season while this is the second weekly honor of the season for Su.

    Streak Ends for Harding and Su in ITA Oracle Cup Doubles Championship The Emory University Women’s Tennis doubles tandem of junior Bridget Harding and senior Katarina Su saw their bid for the ITA Oracle Cup Championship stifled on Sunday afternoon, falling to Lynn College’s Diana Bogolii and Rosalie Willig in the doubles championship match.

    Bridget Harding Wins Division III Championship at ITA Oracle Cup Junior Bridget Harding was crowned the ITA Oracle Cup Division III National Champion on Saturday afternoon at the Surprise Tennis & Racquet Complex in Surprise, Arizona. Harding becomes just the sixth ITA Division III Champion in program history and the first since teammate Michelle Satterfield in 2013. Harding now advances to the ITA Oracle Cup Semifinals, joining Division II’s Madeline Hill of Washburn, NAIA’s Camille Gbaguidi of SCAD and JUCO’s Maria Medina of the State College of Florida.

    Harding/Su Capture ITA DIII Doubles Championship; Harding Rallies to Advance to Singles Final Junior Bridget Harding and senior Katarina Su captured the Division III Doubles Championship on Friday evening, defeating Johns’ Hopkins Ashnaa Rao and Mikey Barthlemass 6-1, 6-1 in the championship match. They now advance to the ITA Oracle Cup, formerly known as the ITA ‘Super Bowl,’ to face the winners of the Division II, NAIA and JUCO draws.

    Harding/Su Advance to Doubles Final at ITA Oracle Cup; Harding Reaches Semis in Singles Draw For the second straight year, Emory University junior Bridget Harding and senior Katarina Su advanced to the finals of the ITA Oracle Cup (previously known as the ITA Small College National Tournament) following a pair of victories on Thursday evening at the Surprise Tennis & Racquet Club in Surprise, Arizona. Earlier in the afternoon, Harding reached the semifinals in the singles draw, winning her lone singles match of the day.

    Daniela Lopez Named UAA Athlete of the Week Sophomore Daniela Lopez of the Emory University Women’s Tennis team was named the University Athletic Association Athlete of the Week as announced by the Association on Monday afternoon. This is Lopez’s first UAA weekly honor of her career and the fourth honor earned by an Eagle this season.

    Bridget Harding Named UAA Athlete of the Week Junior Bridget Harding of the Emory University Women’s Tennis team has been named the University Athletic Association Athlete of the Week for her performance at the Elon Fall Invitational. This is Harding’s first Athlete of the Week selection of the 2016-17 season and the fifth of her career.

    Eagles Close Out Play at Elon Fall Invitational; Harding Wins Maroon Flight Final The Emory University Women’s Tennis team wrapped up play at the Elon Fall Invitational on Sunday morning, closing out the three-day tournament with several key match wins. No victory was larger on the afternoon than junior Bridget Harding’s win in the Maroon Flight finals over Elon’s Suzanne Zenoni. Harding needed three sets but was able to successfully defeat Zenoni 6-3, 2-6, 7-5 to take home the top spot in the top draw of the invitational.

    Women's Tennis Kicks Off Fall Season with Elon Fall Invitational The defending National Champions returned to court for the first time since capturing the title in May on Friday afternoon as members of the Emory University Women’s Tennis team competed in day one of the Elon Fall Invitational at Elon University in North Carolina. The Eagles are one of 10 teams competing at the three-day tournament and the only program from the Division III ranks. Other teams participating this weekend are Elon, Wake Forest, Winthrop, Liberty, Richmond, Radford, Appalachian State, UNC Greensboro, and NC Central.
