Emory Track & Field Announces its 2009-10 Freshman Class

The Emory University men's and women's track and field teams have announced the freshman that will be joining the team for the 2009-10 campaign.

The new class of athletes will feature 14 men and 14 women.  The newcomers will look to make an impact on a women's team that featured a NCAA Division III runner-up 4x100-meter relay team, and a men's team that won the University Athletic Association (UAA) Indoor Track and Field Championship in 2009.

"We feel very good about this years' freshman class", said Emory head track and field coach John Curtin.  "The new kids are all very excited about being a part of the program, and with most of our team returning from a year ago we should have one of our deepest teams ever.  The distance kids are already making an impact with cross country and the others can't wait for the indoor season to get started."
