Emory Track & Field Returns to Action at the Georgia Invitational

After a week off from competition, the Emory University track and field team will return to competition on Saturday, making the trip northwest to participate at the University of Georgia Invitational in Athens, GA.

Field events at the meet will begin at 9:00 AM, while the track events are slated for a 12:15 PM start.

With less than three weeks remaining before the NCAA Division III Championships, the Eagles will be using their final three meets of the season, including the Georgia Invitational, as a tune-up and a chance to qualify for the meet.  Currently, Alex Greenhouse (400-meter hurdles), Greg Decker (5,000-meter run and 10,000-meter run) and Paul Winterhalter (10,000-meter run) have provisionally qualified for the Men’s NCAA Championships, while Crystal Spence (200-meter dash), Alix Dyer (400-meter dash), Brittany Donino (100-meter hurdles and 400-meter hurdles), Rebecca Flink (3,000-meter steeplechase), and Lauren Attiah (long jump and triple jump) and the Emory 4x400-meter relay team have provisionally qualified for the women.

Live results during the meet will be accessible at georgiadogs.com.
