Greenhouse & Donino Earn All-America Honors During the Final Day of the NCAA Championships

Emory University seniors Alex Greenhouse and Brittany Donino capped off their collegiate careers with all-America performances during the final day of competition at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships.

Greenhouse finished third in the 400-meter hurdles, earning his second-career all-America honor in the event.  The senior’s time of 52.22 seconds was the second-fastest in school history, only trailing his own program-record mark of 52.15 seconds set during the 2008 NCAA Championships.  Greenhouse finishes his Emory career with three outdoor all-America honors, and four total all-America certificates, including the indoor season.

Greenhouse scored six points for the Eagles with the third place finish, helping the team to a 45th-place finish overall.  His two all-America finishes in the 400-meter hurdles remain the only two in the event in school history.

After qualifying for the finals of the women’s 100-meter hurdles and earning all-America honors in dramatic fashion on Friday, Donino finished eighth in the event with a time of 14.80 seconds on Saturday.  It was the second all-America honor of the senior’s career, with the other coming in the 55-meter hurdles during the 2010 indoor season.

Donino became the second Eagle to earn all-America honors in the 100-meter hurdles, joining former Eagle Kahlilah Jennings, who earned the honor in 1997.  Her performance earned one point for Emory at the meet, helping the team finish tied for 66th place overall.

In the women’s triple jump, Emory sophomore Lauren Attiah finished sixth in her heat and tied for 11th overall with a distance of 11.39 meters.

With competition at the NCAA Division III Championships coming to a close, the Eagles have concluded their 2010 season.
