Championship Website
The Emory University men's and women's track and field
teams will head to Waltham, MA in search of the University Athletic
Association (UAA) Championship, with the conference's championship
meet set for Friday and Saturday.
The meet will be hosted by Brandeis University, and held on the
indoor track at the Gosman Sports and Convocation Center. The
running events are slated for a 2:00 PM start on Friday and a noon
start on Saturday, while the field events will commence at noon on
Friday and 10:00 AM on Saturday.
The Emory University men will look to repeat as UAA Indoor Track
and Field Championships, after winning last year's title on the
final event of the meet. Emory senior Alex
Greenhouse will enter the meet as the conference's top
performer in both the 200-meter and 400-meter dashes, and the
third-best performer in the 55-meter dash, while senior
Alex Robin currently ranks second in the 800-meter
run. In the field events, freshman Nelson
Nwannunu ranks second in the long jump and third in the
triple jump. The Eagles' 4x400-meter relay team also ranks
second in the UAA entering the meet.
The Emory women are coming off a second-place finish at last year's
UAA Indoor Track and Field Championships. This year, Emory
sophomore Alix Dyer is ranked first in the
400-meter dash and second in the 55-meter dash, while sophomore
Jasmine McCullough and senior Brittany
Donino are ranked first and second, respectively, in the
55-meter hurdles. The Eagles also look to score well in the
jumps, with sophomore Lauren Attiah ranking first
in both the long and triple jumps, and freshman Theresa
Ford ranking second in the high jump.
