Meet Website

Emory University junior Lauren Attiah earned a spot at the NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field Championships this weekend, qualifying in the triple jump for the third time in her career.

Attiah qualified with a jump of 11.42 meters, recorded last weekend at the North Central Last Chance qualifier.  She will enter competition as the 13th-ranked competitor in the field of 16.

Last season, she earned all-America honors in the event with a sixth-place finish, becoming the first Eagle to earn national recognition in the triple jump.  In 2009, Attiah finished 13th in the triple jump at the National Championship.

The triple jump will be contested on Saturday, March 12th at 11:30 AM EST.  The meet is being hosted by Capital University in Columbus, OH.
