Three Runners Compete for Emory at Ice Breaker Classic
Emory University had three athletes compete at the Birmingham Ice Breaker Track & Field Classic on Thursday, the team's final meet of the 2011 calendar year.
For the women, freshman Electra Korn made her collegiate debut, running a time of 1:02.13 in the 400-meter dash.
For the men, sophomore Cortlandt Perkins ran the 400-meter dash for the first time during his indoor career, recording a mark of 53.54 seconds. In addition, freshman Zach Fuller made his collegiate debut with a time of 2:02.56 in the 800-meter run.
The meet will wrap up the brief 2011 portion of the Eagles' indoor track and field schedule. Emory will resume competition following winter break at the Cardinal Opener in Naperville, Ill. On January 20th, 2012.
