The 2010 season was a banner year for the Emory University women’s outdoor track and field team, which won its fifth University Athletic Association (UAA) Outdoor Championship, and the program’s first since the 1997 season.

The Emory University men’s and women’s track and field teams were recognized as All-Academic Teams by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (UTSFCCCA), based on the team members’ performance in the classroom during the 2009-10 season.
Emory Track Names Madeleine Outman Assistant Coach

Emory University head track and field coach John Curtin has announced the appointment of Madeleine Outman as assistant coach. Outman will begin her duties on August 12.
Emory Athletic Facilties Undergoing Major Renovations

People entering the Woodruff PE Center on the Emory campus will see and and hear the signs of construction including bulldozers, jackhammers, shovels and sledgehammers as a pair of widely-used facilities undergo major renovations.

Mary Crystal Spence
Emory University’s Mary Crystal Spence recorded a pair of provisional qualifying times during the Gregory Invitational last weekend. Spence improved on her qualifying time in the 100-meter dash, recording a provisional mark of 12.13 seconds, good for a second-place finish in the finals of the event. [more]
