Emory Volleyball Defeats Brandeis
The No. 2-ranked Emory volleyball team opened the second day of
the University Athletic Association Round Robin II on Sunday
morning with a 3-0 win over host Brandeis. The Eagles boosted
their overall record to 19-4 (5-1 UAA) following a 25-19, 25-8,
25-17 decision over the Judges who slipped to 13-10 overall, 1-5 in
the league.
Senior Amelia McCall paced the Emory offensive attack with 12 kills
while junior Jessica McAlvany chipped in 11 terminations. Junior
Natalie Schonefeld dished out 39 assists and freshman Molly
Landers recorded eight digs.
Emory will close out the Round Robin II later today with a noon
match against No. 17 Chicago.
