Emory Spikers Down Chicago

The No. 2-ranked Emory volleyball team closed out its participation at the UAA Round Robin II Sunday afternoon by topping the University of Chicago.  The Eagles raised their overall record to 20-4 (6-1 UAA) with a 3-1 triumph over the No. 17 Maroons, 27-25, 25-21, 19-15, 25-22.

Senior Amelia McCall and sophomore Breanah Boruque spearheaded the Emory offensive attack with each player being credited with 15 kills.  Rounding out the team’s double-figure terminators were junior Jessica McAlvany and sophomore Alena Ransom with 12 and 11, respectively. 

The Eagles resume action next Friday and Saturday when they play at the Juniata Invitational.
