Emory Women's Cross Country Team Finishes Third At Sewanee Invitational
Results
The Emory University women's cross country team, ranked 27th in the
nation, recorded a third-place finish out of 11 teams at the 29th
annual Sewanee Invitational.
The Eagles finished with 77 points and finished Mississippi State's
25 points and Georgia State's 68 points. Rounding out the top
five were Rhodes College (86 pts.) and Tennessee Tech (161
pts.)
Emory had three runners finish among the top 15 in the 110-runner
field. Senior Rebecca Flink (Loudonville,
NY) paced the team and finished sixth overall with a 5K time of
19:22. Junior Jenny Feinberg (Andover, MA)
was close behind Flink and crossed the finish line in ninth
position with an effort of 19:50. Sophomore Sara
Gelb (Fort Myers, FL) posted a time of 20:05, good for
14th place. Freshman Melanie
Frank (Novelty, OH) turned in a 23rd-place
performance with a mark of 20:29 and rounding out the team's
scorers was junior Natalie Fenn (Evanston, IL)
with a time of 20:37 that ranked her 26th.
Emory returns to action on Sept. 19 when it competes at the UGA
Invitational in Athens.
