Tess Gallegos
Senior Tess Gallegos helped the Eagles to a
first-place finish at the NCAA South/Southeast Regional
Championships with an overall second-place finish out of 197
runners. Gallegos emerged as the team’s top runner for
the third straight meet covered the 6k course in a season-best time
of 22:15. Her performance enabled her to claim
All-South/Southeast Region honors for the fourth straight
season. Emory took home first place at the Regional
Championships with 45 points, well ahead of runner-up Rhodes who
totaled 86 points, and gave the team an automatic berth to the NCAA
D-III Championships.
