Sophomore Billy Dimlow has been named the University Athletic Association Pitcher of the Week for the fourth time this season as announced by the Association late Monday afternoon.
Dimlow tossed eight shutout innings to earn his fifth win of the season as the Eagles blanked Case Western Reserve 4-0 in the second game of the doubleheader on Friday. Dimlow gave up just six hits on the afternoon while striking out at least eight batters for the fifth time in 2017. He did not walk a batter in the outing. For the season, Dimlow lowered his earned-run average 0.74 and now has 60 strikeouts compared to just eight walks in 48.2 innings pitched.
Emory returns to the diamond this weekend as the team travels to St. Louis, MO to face Washington University.
