Emory University junior Ryan Adelman was named the University Athletic Association Co-Hitter of the Week after helping the Emory offense score 57 runs in a four-game sweep of Brandeis University. It is second weekly honor of the season for the Short Hills, NJ native.
Adelman led all Eagle starters with 10 runs scored, eight walks, a .563 batting average (9-for-16), .813 slugging percentage and .720 on-base percentage as Emory went 4-1 during the week vs. the Judges and #17 Piedmont. He added four doubles, four RBI, four stolen bases and a hit-by-pitch and now ranks second on the team with a .417 average for the season.
Adelman and the Eagles return to action on Tuesday with a home tilt against Birmingham-Southern before facing Huntingdon in a three-game series this weekend.
