Cory Greiner joined the Emory men's soccer program as an assistant coach in August of 2013.  He was appointed Interim Head Coach prior to the start of the 2017 season and later was named the program's full-time head coach in December of 2017.

In his first season as interim head coach in 2017, Greiner brought the Eagles to heights the program hasnt seen in nearly 30 years, reaching the NCAA Elite Eight for the just the second time in program history and first time since 1988. The Eagles finished the season with a 15-5-2 overall record, the second highest win total in a single season. Greiner saw four players earn All-UAA honors and three named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District team. In his two-year stretch at the helm, Greiner holds an overall mark of 24-12-4.

During his four seasons with the team as an assistant, Greiner helped lead the Eagles to a 43-20-7 overall record and an NCAA Tournament berth in 2014.  Under Greiner, Emory finished second in the University Athletic Association in 2013, third in 2014 and fourth in 2015 and 2016.

With Greiner on the staff, the Eagles have combined to win an All-America honor, four all-region awards, and 20 all-conference certificates over the last four seasons.

Greiner came to the Emory program after serving as the Technical Director of the SOCA Soccer Club in Charlottesville, Virginia, since 2009.  Among his duties included the coaching of elite youth boys teams (U10-U19), the implementation of a year-round player development model, and the oversight and management of all camps and clinics.   As head coach, Greiner led two teams to VYSA State Cup Championships, the U18 Boys in 2008-09 and the U16 Boys in 2011-12.

Prior to his Technical Director responsibilities, Greiner was the Coaching Director for the Challenge Program for SOCA from 2006-09.   A Virginia Olympic Development Program staff coach since 2010, Greiner holds both the USSF National 'B' License and USSF National Youth License.

As a player, Greiner was a four-year starter at Virginia Commonwealth University (1999-2002) and helped the Rams to NCAA Division I Tournament berths in 1999 and 2002.   He earned his bachelor's degree from VCU in sport management with a business minor in 2003.
