Felipe Quintero joined the Emory University Men’s Soccer coaching staff for the 2017 season as the program’s goalkeepers coach.
Quintero comes to the Eagles after a brief stint crosstown with Oglethorpe University, serving as a member of the Stormy Petrels men’s and women’s coaching staffs for five seasons.
Prior to his time with Oglethorpe, Quintero enjoyed a long and successful career as a professional player. In Mexico, he played for Lobos BUAP in 2005, and helped Irapuatowin to the Mexican Second Division title, promoting them to the First Division. He began his professional career with Chivas de Guadalajara, training with the first team and starting with the Second Division team. He also played for Angeles de Puebla, Ciudad Juarez and Queretaro, and he played three years manning the net with the Atlanta Silverbacks of the USL.
