Junior James Spaulding helped the Emory men's tennis team to a Atlantic South Region win over Sewanee.
Spaulding captured victories in both singles and doubles as the No. 1-ranked Eagles prevailed by an 8-1 margin over the 20th-ranked Tigers, which raised their record to 12-2.
At first doubles, Spaulding teamed with senior Scott Rubinstein to post an 8-3 victory against the Jack Gray and Hayden Loeb, their 16th triumph in 22 decisions this season. Later in the match, Spaulding topped Alejandro Becker at No. 6 singles, 6-3, 6-4.
Emory returns to action on Monday, April 16, when it hosts Washington and Lee.
