Sophomore Blair Ripley helped the Emory women's basketball team to a win at Rochester in the league opener for both squads.
The 6-foot-2 Ripley came off the bench and posted her first career double-double, tying for second on the team with a career-high 15 points while grabbing a game-high 10 rebounds in the Eagles' 70-52 decision over the Yellowjackets. Ripley converted six-of-eight field goal attempts, including her lone three-point try, and sank both of her free throw opportunities, en route to registering her third double-figure effort of the season. She scored 13 second-half points, helping Emory to a 37-26 scoring edge over the final two quarters. Her 10 boards represented her second double-digit outing in that department of the campaign.
Through 12 games, Blair is fifth on the team's score sheet in scoring (7.7 ppg) and is second in rebounding (5.4 rpg).
