Senior Kaylee Slade helped the Emory women's cross country team to a strong performance at the JSU Foothills Invitational held in Oxford, Alabama.
Slade recorded a personal-best 5K time of 18:41 that led the Eagles' pack and that ranked fourth out of 163 runners. It represented the third straight meet that she finished as Emory's No. 1 runner.
Slade's performance helped No. 28 Emory to a second-place finish out of 19 teams.
